Catch up with friends over sunset drinks and coastal cuisine at an Instagram-worthy tropical beach setting at the Peroni Sunset Cinema. Feel the summer love from DJs and instrumentalists playing from 5 - 7:45pm each night before the feature film begins at dusk.

 

The audio for the feature films are broadcasted via state-of-the-art wireless headphones issued to each customer upon entry—so you can immerse yourself in the film, choose your volume preference and bid noisy chewers and slurpers goodbye.

The Projector

Back in 1973, Golden Theatre was the biggest cinema in Singapore and Malaysia. Today, the theatre grounds has been revived into an independent cinema, events space and bar, The Projector.

 

Over the years, the independent cinema has hosted a number of film festivals such as the Middle East, Swedish and Polish Film Festival and is popular for their specially curation of films including  foreign, arthouse and local flicks.

 

Insider News Alert: From 4 - 30 May 2018, they’ll be paying tribute to Mr. Wes Anderson and screening a series of his films including The Grand Budapest Hotel, Bottle Rocket, Moonrise Kingdom, Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Darjeeling Limited. Check them out here !

The Screening Room works differently from other cinemas on the list—they don’t sell tickets for the movies. Instead, you have to spend $15 on food and beverages per person to enjoy a seat. (You do however have to indicate your interest in advance online  to reserve a spot!)

Run by the same team behind Sunset Cinema, Films at the Fort offers yet another unique cinema experience—this time with a private picnic, a glass of wine and movie under the stars at Fort Canning Park, one of Singapore’s historic landmarks.

 

Guest are allowed to bring their own picnic food. However, this doesn’t apply to alcohol. Alternatively, guests can also grab your fix from on-site food and beverage providers while soaking up the tunes by DJs and instrumentalists before the film starts—some of last year’s gourmet food and wine providers include Casillero del Diablo and The Providore.
