2018 IG SG Café Guide | Neon Lights Edition
Friday 23 March, 2018
There’s a new café trend in Singapore. You’ve probably seen it while scrolling past your Instagram timeline, or you may even have taken a picture of it—it’s one of those cafés with flashy neon light signs.
To save you from wasting your time and money, we did the legwork so you don’t have to. In this post and the next (two weeks later), we’ll share with you some of Singapore’s most IG-worthy cafes with neon light signs for that added IG-worthy factor!

Hipster communal dining place, Picnic SG, features 10 different stalls, idyllic floral decor and a flashy neon quote on the wall. So you'll be able to feed both your food cravings—whether it's Taiwanese, Japanese or event French cuisine—and your phone, at the same time!

Even though Shop Wonderland’s located in the busy CBD district, the dreamy decor whisks you away from the concrete jungle into a botanical oasis. They’ve even got a flower studio upstairs(which explains the ‘Flowers Upstairs’ sign).
We’d recommend you to visit this place during tea time to try their Rose Raspberry Pistachio Cake—moist layers of rose-perfumed batter, enveloped in a layer of raspberry cream cheese with chopped pistachios and raspberry bits.
Where: 134 Telok Ayer Street, Singapore 068600

The Burger Joint

A conspicuous neon burger sign isn’t exactly a clear indication of a shopfront, but I guess it works for The Burger Joint.
Fun fact: The no-frills burger place serves up American-style burgers with fresh produce—just like its original outlet in Park Meridian Hotel, New York. They even make their meat patties in-house with beef flown in from Nebraska, USA. This ensures that they taste the same as the ones served in the original New York outlet!
Where: 115 Amoy Street, #01-03, Singapore 069935

Paddy Hills

Paddy Hills isn’t the most accessible café on this list but it’s one you’ll want to make a trip to if you’re craving for fluffy pancakes.
Ok, Berry Muffcakes isn’t exactly a pancake dish. Rather, it’s a crisp and crumbly muffin-hotcake hybrid topped with berries and ice-cream that hits the spot. And if you’re already there, you might as well snap an #OOTD with their eye-catching neon light backdrop.
Where: 38 South Buona Vista Road, Singapore 118164

Ninja Cut

Ninja Cut’s signature neon pink sign may be the first thing that grabs your attention. But if you’re a lover of Brunch fare and Japanese Cuisine, then this café will be heaven-on-earth for you.
The Asian Fusion café serves up all-day brunch and we especially love Marvellous Matcha —a giant matcha lava pancake decorated with biscuit crumbs, adzuki beans, yuzu peel and a dollop of ricotta cheese.

Technically, GastroBeats isn’t a café—it’s a huge extravaganza of food, carnival games, music performances, and to most millennials’ delight, very instagrammable neon light signs!
If you’re in the Marina Bay Area to catch this year’s iLight exhibits, or just having a ball at the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival, walk those extra few steps to GastroBeats.
